Greg Shannan has been programming computers since 1966; on mainframes, minis, and Personal computers and networks.
His specialty is system design, bolstered by the ability to understand both the user and their problem domain and, as important, the tools used to solve the user's problems. His experience in programming is wide: from applications programming, to system programming to research in language design and artificial intelligence.
